Here is great news for the residents and tourists of Emirates. They can now learn about the heritage and culture of Emiratis by visiting Sharjah Museums. They have announced free entry into Sharjah for the residents and tourists until 3rd March 2024.
Access to some of the emirate’s most important museums, including Sharjah Fort (Al Hisn), Sharjah Calligraphy Museum, Bait Al Naboodah, and Hisn Khorfakkan, is made possible by the initiative spearheaded by Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA).
Additionally, SMA has introduced “Museums Express,” a traveling museum bus that runs on prearranged days through Dibba Al Hisn and the Heart of Sharjah.
Due to this initiative, people can explore the traditions of the Emirate through hands-on training. For example, various workshops will be conducted like a workshop at Al Hisn Towers at Sharjah Fort in which the history of the place will be taught, and a workshop at Bait al Naboodah which is on floral painting and geometric designs.
Another example is of workshop at Sharjah Calligraphy Museum where the process of making hand-crafted pendants with Arabic Letters will be taught.
Additionally, a few museums will host exhibitions including “The Art of Architectural Decoration in the Emirate of Sharjah” at Bait Al Naboodah and “Geometric and Floral Ornaments” at Bait Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamad Al Qasimi.
