How To Get UAE Work Residence Visa / Complete Guide

There are two main visa alternatives to let you stay in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) if you’re thinking about moving there to work as a skilled worker.

For qualified workers, there are two options for acquiring a UAE work residence visa: the standard work visa, which is good for two or three years, and the five-year Green work visa.

I will guide you on how to get UAE work residence visa.

Standard Work Visa

This is the most usual work visa that is given to those who work for companies in free zones or the mainland.

The employer is in charge of paying for their application for the regular resident visa.

Needed Documents

  • An image in color with a white background
  • A copy of a valid passport that should be at least six months old
  • Attested degree from the university, if relevant

Your employer may need to supply further documentation, such as a letter of approval from the appropriate authorities (for example, a letter of approval for a physician, nurse, pharmacist, or teacher). The actions of the organization should be in line with your qualifications.

If you are hired from outside the UAE, you will be given entry permission good for two months upon arrival. Your work visa must be finalized by your company during this time.

You will be required to take a medical fitness exam and give biometric information (fingerprint and eye scan) for the Emirates ID when you arrive in the UAE.

For UAE citizens and residents, the Emirates ID is a government-issued identity card that is required for all applications.

Employees can apply for a resident visa through a simple process that involves submitting documents and passing a medical fitness test.

You can apply for your family’s visa after receiving your visa and Emirates ID. This is a slightly different process that will be covered in a later post.
