The government of Punjab has started the Nigehban Ramadan Package under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The major aim of launching this package is to extend support to people during the holy month of Ramadan.
This program offers free Punjab Ehsaas Rashan Riayat and discounts at utility retailers and it is designed to meet the needs of every home. People now can apply for this program through the online system.
Families who are enlisted in the BISP (Benazir Income Support Program) and have PMT (Poverty Means Points) scores less than 32 are automatically qualified for this assistance from the government. Under the Nigehban Free Ita Scheme, an online portal has been set up for new registrations.
Registration Procedure:
The process of registration involves the following steps:
- People should visit the official website for their registration.
- Then fill out the registration form which contains information like name, national identity, contact number, and other required details.
- Application will be verified and eligibility of applicants will be checked according to the criteria.
- After that, the applicants who meet the criteria will be considered eligible.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Poverty score of less than 30%.
- Living in poverty and making less than 60,000 rupees a year.
- No history of foreign travel or passport generation.
- No vehicle is registered with the applicant’s name.
After evaluation, candidates will get three bags of 10 kg flour from utility stores and a complimentary Ehsaas Rashan Riayat.
The online application process offers a convenient way for individuals who meet the eligibility requirements to receive the Nigehban Ramadan Package, which guarantees that those in need get aid during this holy month.
