Shortage of Lamination Paper:
There has been a recent scarcity of lamination paper affecting passport offices nationwide. There are now 700,000 unprinted passports in the backlog as a result of the paper’s limited supply.
Pakistan has been waiting more than a week for the delivery of its order of lamination paper but passports are still not being issued. The DGI&P representative announced that the lamination paper will be delivered tomorrow.
In order to guarantee that the travel documents arrive on schedule, he also mentioned that passport printing will take place on weekends.
