Punjab University Faces Financial Crisis as Staff Salaries and Pensions Delayed

The country’s poor financial status now taking its toll on the education sectors of Pakistan with much worrying news is arriving from the prestigious Punjab University.

Punjab University is not able to pay salaries to the professors and different workers of Punjab University worsens the circumstance as the academic community is confronting the most terrible financial emergency.

Other than the payment of the educators and workers, pensions could not be delivered until now.

The increased pay rates and pensions were to be delivered for the current month with the approval of the Punjab government.

Considering what is happening, the University Academic Staff Association has requested a prompt arrangement from the University administration.
