Undergraduate Scholarship Program Announced for Students of Gilgit-Baltistan by Higher Education Commission

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan introduced this program for students of Gilgit-Baltistan and built this town to study in Top Pakistani Universities and institutions Applications are invited from outstanding students of Gilgit-Baltistan who intend to pursue undergraduate studies from HEC-recognized public sector universities/degree-awarding institutions this scholarship is being offered for the academic year 2023-24 in all areas of study/disciplines under the project title undergraduate scholarship program for the student of Pakistani universities batch-3

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have domicile/local certificate of Gilgit-Baltistan
Applicants must have completed a higher secondary school certificate (HSSC) or equivalent
Applicants who are already avail of any other scholarship are not eligible to apply
The maximum age limit is 22 years as of the closing date of application submission
The candidate will have to meet HEC and University criteria for admission to the BS program

Scholarship Benefits:

Tuition fees, hostel fees, and other charges a maximum of Rs. 240,000 per year
Stipend Rs. 15000 per month
Books and traveling allowance of Rs. 30000 per annum

Important Note:

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores on aptitude tests and academic grade
Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the ETC test
Students already in any BS program in public sector universities/Institutions before the advertisement may also apply
The award of the scholarship will be purely merit-based and irrespective of gender, caste, race, and religion
The applicants can apply to any public sector university/Institution of Pakistan teacher however any expenditure above the cost given in the project PC-1 will be borne by the student himself/herself
The test result will be valid for 1 year after the announcement of the test result date
HEC reserves the right to postpone or cancel this scholarship process at any stage without assigning any reason

How to Apply:

Applicants are required to submit online applications through https://eportal.hec.gov.pk
Applications in hard form will not be entertained
While applying online incomplete or only saved applications will not be considered. Students must click on submit after completing the application form. Applicants are required to deposit Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) in any HBL branch all over Pakistan as an application fee in Habib Bank Limited account number 1742 7900 133401 account title Higher Education Commission branch code 1742 Islamabad and upload the scanned copy/image of bank recipient while applying.
It is mandatory to bring the original applicant copy of the paid fee Challan on test day along with your original CNIC /original passport otherwise candidate will not be allowed to sit in the exam
