Government Considering Reduction of Hajj Expenses for Pilgrims

The caretaker federal government is expected to reduce Hajj fees this year in order to give assistance to intended pilgrims in the face of increasing inflation, interim Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed.

Speaking at a dinner reception hosted by the Punjab Chapter of the Pakistan Business Group Organization, Ahmed stated his aim to reveal the Hajj policy by Wednesday (November 15).

He emphasized the Saudi government’s unwavering devotion to the Hajj Policy since 2004, emphasizing the significance of following and obeying the Saudi government’s orders in both text and spirit.

Aneeq highlighted a noteworthy achievement of his administration by revealing that the next Hajj trip will incur a lower cost, currently less than Rs1,075,000, compared to the previous pilgrimage, which incurred charges of Rs1,175,000.
