On Saturday, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi opened a model center of e-registry for lands and properties in Lahore to improve land registry and property transparency.
The technology is a ground-breaking step toward modernizing the province’s land and property transactions because it aims to do away with manual processes.
221,000 e-registries have been completed to date, according to Chief Minister Naqvi, who announced the inauguration at the LDA Office on Kashmir Road. At the e-registry model center, a Bank of Punjab branch has been set up to make the procedure easier.
The chief minister emphasized the transition from the manual registry method to the electronic registry system that is currently in use. He underlined that the sub-registrar’s signature was the only step in the process that required human interaction and that everything else was computerized.

Chief Minister Naqvi responded by saying that unjust criticism has no bearing on his work. He emphasized the need to keep his attention on his duties rather than letting criticism divert him.
Rafia Haider, the deputy commissioner for Lahore, revealed plans for two more e-registry sites in the Raiwand and Shalimar regions. Providing complete amenities to inhabitants under one roof is the aim.
The e-registration system will address concerns about corruption and fraud in real estate transactions.
The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA), land record management, and e-stamp will all be connected with the system.
This integration aims to increase real estate industry efficiency while removing the possibility of tax fraud and property document loss.
