On January 1, 2024, the Rawalpindi Education Department will launch an electronic pension system, offering retired educators, academic officials, and non-teaching personnel an easy online platform for submitting their pension claims.
The education department has launched a specialized mobile application to speed up this procedure. Users may use this app to conveniently submit and evaluate pension applications, as well as acquire pertinent information. Furthermore, all applicants will be able to obtain real-time information on their pension statuses, according to the Express Tribune on Sunday.

Teachers’ union leaders, including Muhammad Shafiq Bhalwalia, Basharat Iqbal Raja, and Shahid Mubarak, have voiced faith in the system’s capacity to tackle corruption and bribery.
They hope that this unique mechanism will enable instructors to file appeals from the comfort of their own homes.
According to Ministry of Education sources, the new pension app will be available on December 30, 2023. This effort seeks to give complete information to teachers and education officers, and those retiring in the future year will be expected to submit their pension claims online.
Case approval status will also be disclosed online. Furthermore, all departments and facilities within the education department are expected to be active online by the first quarter of the new year.
