Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Technology is preparing to start the ‘Smartphone for All’ initiative, of easy installment scheme for buying mobile phones through affordable payment plans. This effort is a reaction to the financial issues that consumers encounter as a result of inflation, allowing them to acquire cell phones without making a large upfront payment.
The idea has gained attention as the government works to promote responsible financial behavior by increasing access to mobile phones for residents who may find it difficult to acquire smartphones.
According to the IT minister, telecom providers in Pakistan would be permitted to sell mobile phones to residents via leasing arrangements, therefore expanding the benefits of mobile broadband to a larger audience.
