The Islamabad traffic police upgraded Digital License Management System (DLMS), simplifying data on suspects and e-challan defaulters.
The Safe City Command and Control Center recently presented the Police Khidmat Center and traffic offices with a list of 145 violators.
As a consequence, 995 e-challans were settled at traffic offices by 82 violators. Officials also took harsh measures against the remaining 63 people, suspending their licenses.
The fully operational Digital License Management System was upgraded earlier last week, according to CPO Safe City/Traffic. Additionally, offenders of traffic laws have been warned to pay their e-challans or face legal action.

Furthermore, the Safe City cameras and the recently launched Brief Cam alerts are utilized to detect e-challan offenders’ cars, assuring compliance with legal requirements.
Following the directions of Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, the Islamabad police recently initiated a crackdown on traffic rule offenders.
According to Virk, traffic offenses in the federal capital fell by 38,000 incidents in October and November 2023 as compared to the same time the previous year.
He went on to say that this was accomplished by increased penalties and the filing of lawsuits against major violators, including underage drivers and one-way violators.
