Meezan Bank Partners with PAFLA to Empower Pakistan’s Freelance Community

The Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) and Meezan Bank, the country’s top Islamic bank, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide the freelancing community with more specialized financial services.

Representatives from both organizations, including Mr. Zia ul Hassan, Group Executive Operations and Branch Banking, Ms. Shazia Khurram, Head of Branch and premium Banking, and Syed Kashif Zaidi, Head of Centralized Operations from Meezan Bank, as well as Mr. Tufail Ahmed Khan, CEO, and Mr. Ibrahim Amin, Co-Founder & Chairman from PAFLA, attended the signing ceremony to formalize the Memorandum of Understanding. The event was held at Meezan House in Karachi.

As part of this partnership, PAFLA will help freelancers from various domains get redirected to Meezan Bank, where they can take advantage of convenient account opening, quick processing for remittances, and various customized services designed to improve their financial health.

This will allow Meezan Bank to present its goods to a larger audience through academic events, professional conferences, roadshows, and training sessions arranged by PAFLA.

“Meezan Bank’s collaboration with PAFLA signifies the Bank’s focus on meeting the specific needs of the freelancing segment,” Mr. Zia ul Hasan said during his speech at the event.

We want to empower this market and its contribution to the national economy by providing specialized banking services like tax facilitation on discounted rates, attractive FX conversion rates, and the freedom to choose the product of their choice in both the current and savings categories.

We also want to help freelancers succeed in their endeavors by providing them with these tools.
