In the latest developments of events NADRA, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), has launched a cutting-edge digital method for issuing Powers of Attorney for Pakistanis living abroad.
This recently developed tech-based software allows Overseas Pakistanis to easily apply for and get the Power of Attorney (PoA) from the comfort of their own homes, avoiding the need for actual trips to the Pakistani Foreign Mission (FM), which may be geographically inconvenient.

NADRA Online Power of Attorney for Overseas Pakistani Eligibility Criteria:
To ensure a seamless Online Power of Attorney (PoA) application procedure, candidates must comply with the following criteria:
- Aspiring individuals must be Pakistanis living overseas.
- Valid identification documents for candidates, witnesses, and attorneys, including CNIC/NICOP/POC (front and back).
- Provide Applicants’ email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses in the country of application (outside of Pakistan).
- Applicants and two witnesses (best four fingers).
- Use a credit or debit card to pay the application fees online.
- Provide a scanned copy of the original Power of Attorney, with signatures, thumb imprints, and pictures of applicants and witnesses, as well as any relevant affidavits.
Foreigners seeking POA certification must physically visit the relevant Pakistan Mission Abroad after having their papers attested by their country’s State Department/Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Step-by-Step Application Process for Online Power of Attorney for Overseas Pakistani
- To make an account, access the PoA Portal and enter your email address and other data.
- To apply for POA, join up and authenticate using an OTP. Then, submit the relevant papers online.
- To upload biometrics, use the given fingerprint form.
- Pay the application fee and obtain biometric verification results.
- The Consular Officer will conduct an online video interview with the applicant to make a final decision on their case.
- A system-generated email is sent to the applicant’s registered email address to get their final approval for POA issuance.
