Passport Lamination Paper Update, Printing Resumes as Lamination Paper Shortage Ends

With the satisfactory resolution of the lamination paper issue, passport printing has resumed nationwide. The nationwide passport printing process had been hampered by the lack of lamination paper.

The issuance of new passports was halted for more than a week, resulting in a 700,000 unprinted passport backlog.

Ensure delivery on time:

To ensure delivery of the travel documents on time, the printing process will endure on Saturday and Sunday as well. Recently, the Directorate revised the timings of passport offices across the country.

New Schedule:

As per the new schedule, offices will be working from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM during the first four days of the week. Meanwhile, the offices will close at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
