Over the past few years, technology has progressed a lot in the world.
Due to the many innovations in technology, now everything has become very easy, what used to be done in months is done in days and what used to be done in days is done in hours and the world is very much at ease with the help of technology.
Pakistan is also trying day and night to bring innovation to its communication system and is working on new projects. Recently, Pakistan has launched its Beep App to compete with WhatsApp.

Ministry of Information Technology has so far this communication Beep app only for federal employees who work in various offices of the federation and after its successful trial it will be launched to the public.
This application is meant to be an alternative to WhatsApp and other social media applications and has many features including video calling, video conferencing, and audio calling. It will also provide a safe way for sharing key documents.
This application is planned to be launched in three steps, in the first step it will be made available to the federal employees, in the second step it will be given to the provincial employees and finally, it will be made available to the public of Pakistan.

This application will be more secure for Pakistan than the other application because its server is in Pakistan and the source code is also hosted in Pakistan. This application costs Pakistan 79 billion rupees.
The opening ceremony of Pakistan was also attended by Senior IT Officials and the Minister of IT and Telecom Dr. Amin Ul Haq.
The Federal Minister of IT and Telecom expressed his views and said that currently 33 companies are making smartphones in Pakistan and the world’s biggest companies are also manufacturing mobiles. IT exports were $1 billion in 2020 but now it is $2.6 billion and we aim to take IT exports to $15 billion annually.
